We bought Jackie the weekend after Thanksgiving and I wanted to share how her appearance has changed since we bought her...

This was about a week after we got her...

I third that! Maybe Jack would be a more appropriate name for him. I really like his bold pattern and it looks like he has an 'e' on his head! You and your daughter are doing a great job with your first gecko.

Well...I guess we will have to quit calling him a her! I told my daughter and she said his name is now "Jackie Boo"; I suggested Jackie Boy or Mr. Jackie, but it is her leo!

Thanks for all the compliments! He is well loved regardless of being male or female!

Any guesses on his age? We have had him 2 months toward the end of January... what color morph is he? I assumed just a normal...

Thanks everyone!

He may have been anywhere from 2 weeks to 1.5 months in that first picture. I'd say he's a bold patten high yellow?

Cool! Is there someplace I can go and see what he might look like as an adult? Or will he look like a high contrast normal (bright yellow background normal?)? Thanks for the idea on age...we had no idea how old he was...

Thanks!

Kathy, I agree with everyone... Jackie is a "he", and is a very lovely high-contrast hi-yellow! His black bands will most likely break-up somewhat, but hopefully will keep the boldness of the edges. His head pattern is what I have always called "four-eyes", because it almost looks like a second set of eyes. Very cute!

Thanks, Marcia! We are VERY fond of him...grin...guess there's even more reason that Jackie and our new girl, which we are planning on calling Tiki, should not get too close to each other!!! <grin>

I have always been intrigued by his head markings!

That is a sweet Boy
You are doing a great job raising him
:D
I think that half of the fun of raising them is watching the incredible color/pattern changes that they go through

Very nice! I love the bold markings, hopefully he keeps them as he gets older.

Thanks Everyone! We are very fond of our "boy"! We have learned alot and made quite a few changes....now we are addicted! Jackie is my daughter's leo, I am getting a female soon and my almost 6 yr old son wants one of his own...I told him he needs to be older but he can share/help me take of my new girl...Pretty soon we will need a larger house...grin!

I do love watching how his color changes and he gets more spots...I do hope he keeps the boldness and I love his head markings. It will be interesting to see how he changes as he grows...
