I just bought my Donald last Saturday from LLL Reptile. He is a Sunglow. Still young. I have fed him mealworms, crickets. I gave him 6 crickets yesterday and he ate 4. He also shed. I see the crickets eat his shed too. So I am here because I like talking to others about their Geckos and I like talking about mine. Right now I have my Donald in a plastic, 8 x 12 tank. Aspen substrate, water dish, food dish, one coconut hide, and leaves as another hide. I would love to use sand but I heard and read it was not good for them. Do Geckos do better with there being 2 or just 1?

Hi and welcome to GF, lovely to have you with us and nice pic.

Leo's are better on their own, i had 2 a good while back and they don't seem to settle like one does.
I brought my blaze a good 2mths back surposed to be a male but he's turned out to be a female.lol and she's only 8mths old. I feed her 5 crickets each night and do them in calcium 3 times a week, she's shred her skin already and she'd eaten it by the next morning and when i feed her at night i spray the tank with luke warm water as they love that, they think they're in the dessert and drink the water dripping from the artifical trees.
I use sand for Blaze but it's children's playing sand and that's ok for them because if they eat it, it goes straight through them and can't harm them at all.
