I've been thinking about getting a crestie for awhile now and finally got one today. I got her from Adam (Gecko Euphoria) and he was great to deal with. I already forgot what morph she is but she's an olive green or brown color most the time. I bought a couple of things for her tank but I still want to get a few more plants for her to climb on. I caught her eating her CGD earlier so that's probably a good sign!
Here's some pics. I'm still trying to figure out my camera. The good pic is one that Adam took himself.

Thanks for looking.

Yeah I remember him saying tiger. I still don't know what she looks like fired up. What makes them fire up?

cute little buckskin tiger! Not a flashy morph as others but I still really like them, the are considered the "wild" color of cresties.

TO fire up a crested gecko is pretty easy. Take a deli container (with holes punched in it), and place a warm (not hot) wet paper towel on the bottom of it then place in the gecko. Put it somewhere dark for 5 minutes. The warm humidity from the paper towel gets them to fire up *almost* all the time, and is how most breeders take their pics because lets be honest, not many people are going to stay up to 2-3am waiting for their geckos to fire up for pics!

I never knew that way, I might try it tonight with red and harly, see how vivid they get! Nice one :)

Thanks guys! I'll try firing her up in a week or so. I want to let her settle in for now.
I wasn't picky about her morph, as she's my first crested and I was trying to stay cheap. I really like her green color anyways. I'll probably get a nicer morph for the male when she's bigger and I start breeding.

That little trick works for other species also like other Rhacs, beardies, really the types of species of reptiles that have a fired up and fired down stage that trick works for, but obviously kinda hard to do with an adult beardie!

Here's her bin. I just bought the leaves for the sides and the potted plants. You can see her frog butt by the water dish.

Got two more cresties today! One male and one female cream harleys. They're awesome. One is shedding and they're both settling in so I'll get some pics up in a few days. Got both of them from Gecko Euphoria again.

Not to be a jerk or "know it all" but it seems like you are getting geckos quickly. I don't know you very well but are you experienced? And do you have a place to sell the babies if you get eggs? Just a question you should ask yourself before buying a pair. But if I am wrong then crongratz and hopefully you get some very nice babies! (I might buy one.) :)

Hey Luke,
I've always loved reptiles and had a bunch of frogs and snakes growing up, but just got my first leo three months ago. Since then I've gotten two more leos (one of which is at my girlfriends house) and I just got the three cresties this last week. I was only planning on getting one male crested to go with my female to breed down the road, but Adam was selling both of them for a great price so I got both. I'm by no means an "expert," but I have read almost every page of all the leo forums, and all of the Rhacodactylus forum as well as a lot on the Pangea forums. The local breeders I bought my geckos from have given me a lot of advice and help as well. I've done lots of research on both species and my geckos are well cared for.
I don't plan on breeding leos very soon but will breed my cresties when they're the proper size. I plan on selling the babies locally and online and if they don't sell I have the time and resources to take care of all of them. I'm not in it for the money, I just enjoy having them and learning about them.
