Hello, last monday I got my first leopard gecko , I am very happy and I hope he is also xD. Now he seems skinny, not to much... It is 10 month. How much crickets should I feed him? 15 each day?

We talking small crickets here? :D

If a reasonably-sized gecko seems hungry a lot, you can always up the size of the feeders.

My adult male eats about five large crickets every other day. He's not a growing juvie, though. Stick around, someone with experience will show up here sooner or later. :tongue3:

I find the trick is to figure out how much they can eat in one sitting. With mealies it's a lot easier because you can dump 10-20 mealies into their dish and if they don't eat all of them.. well, you can just leave them in there for dessert! But with crickets it's not as easy because you don't want the crickets turning on your gecko and biting them.

I say drop in maybe 5 crickets at a time and watch your geckos reaction through out the day. If he/she munches them down right away, drop in 5 more. The important thing is to keep an eye on the tank and your gecko through out the day, to see how many they would like to eat in a day. Once you have a general number you can stick to that every day, or every other day depending on their appetite.

I put my gecko in with the crickets, and he'll hunt them until he's full. Then I take him out. Now he's getting lazy though, because he's learned I have the ability to bring the *food* to *him.* :tongue3:
