My first Leo, I think it's a patternless?

This may be an odd question, but I was told this gecko was 6-8 months old, and well, I think he's a little small to be that old. like 12 grams is what he weighs. You can see the bulge, and those 3 dots so I know it's a male, and b/c I can tell it's a male, it leads me to believe he is that old, but why so small? Will he get much bigger?
