So myself and my boyfriend have just returned from our first Reptile Expo Adventure. We found ourselves coming home with the most beautiful Mack Snow there. (Even the $300 "true" Mack Snow wasn't nearly as nice!) We've decided to name her Magenta. My mom had the idea to name her something really stupid, that had nothing to do with her at all. Which is what we did. But for a close friend of the family, we've shortened it to Maggie. The attached file on this post is the only good shot we've gotten of her in the 2 hours we've had her home. :)

While we were there, we picked up a bunch of food for both her and the boyfriend's tegu (The Wednesday Monster). Some worms, and about 50 frozen rats. And one of the guys there convinced us to buy this wicked awesome handheld thermometer. It's point and shoot, almost completely instant, and really really easy to use. There's only one button, how can you screw up? I'll post a link to that once I find a place to buy them from.

Anyway, that's a quick sum-up of our adventures today. I was really excited to post about Maggie. Hope you all like her as much as I do. :D

I can't see pics right now because of the comp I am on, so that is definitely a disappointment (Mack Snows are our favorite ). Sorry that your female ended up being male (as it can be a big issue at times). I guess if you still want a name that has nothing to do with the gecko, you could pick another color name that sounds more masculine.. I don't know, but here's a link with some names having to do with color: http://www.20000-names.com/color_names_04.htm

Maybe I'm not the only one, but the gecko was the second thing I looked at in that picture. Prosecute me for being honest :)
