Hey everyone, just wanted to introduce myself and my brand new baby leo. I picked her up from Mike Rekowski at the Columbia, SC show. She's settling in nicely and has been eating butterworms, mealworms, and reptiworms. Thanks Mike!

Hello, Janet. I was at the ReptiCon on Saturday as well. I saw the Leo you picked up, I believe. If so, pics can't do the little fella justice. It was very pretty in person. I went to buy some waxworms, and more mealies. I'm getting ready to start my own colony of mealworms.

Where do you live in NC?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I'm actually in the Charlotte area, my fiance and I are transplants. We are totally falling in love with this little girl (she took a mealworm from my hand this evening!). Best of luck with your mealworm colony! I'm hopefully going to be starting a dubia colony soon, we'll see how that goes.

very nice gecko from an awesome breeder. and welcome to GF. there are several helpful threads here to help you get started on your dubia colony. it's very very easy to start and maintain.

Cool, there's another ReptiCon in Concord, NC next month (April 9 & 10). And, again, in August (August 6 & 7). I'm sure I'll make at least one of them, if not both. I would feed my leos dubia's, but I HATE roaches. Well, I do like the hissing roaches...but, otherwise, YUCK! I hate the little buggers.

Yeah, my fiance took some convincing, but after figuring out the costs/health benefits, we just couldn't say no. Plus you get to watch your pet devour them, which is always pretty entertaining.
