Been waiting impatiently, and the day is finally here! This is from the egg i made the heartbeat video of (in egg incubation section).

It is from 2 patternless adults, and was the first time breeding for both of them. I am interested in the pattern on it, because i thought most patternless had the spots all over their body, but this one looks like it has a stripe running down its back (this is my first patternless though, so maybe it is normal). I'll post the pic of the other one when it hatches. Enjoy!

Well this sucks! Second one hatched, and it also has a bum eye. I guess it is due to the masive temp swings in the incubator. Time to build a new reliable one.

Maybe it's just the picture, but it's eyelid just doesn't look right. She's a beauty anyway and the stripe-type pattern is normal.

thanks. and yes, unfortunately the eye is deformed (possibly microphthalmia). hopefully this will be the only one with a problem, since i have 15 other eggs incubating right now.

It's a cute one. Our first hatchling had an eyelid deformity but we haven't had any since. I hope it does well for you!

did you have any success raising it? if so, anything special it needed?

on another note, maybe i should advertise this as a "Rare abberant patternless" and sell it for millions!

Very nice hatchling, Congrats!!!
It seems like there allways hatch a few with small problems...
I gets a few with kinky tails...probably beacuse I have a little to high temp!
And it´s only males...
Only one so far this season...

It was a hatchling from a Pet** rescue who was allready gravid. She wasn't getting any supplementation at the store and laid a clutch 3 days after we brought her home. Only one of the eggs hatched and unfortunately it basically had no eyelids so we had to put it down. It couldn't shut it's eyes at all. I hope yours does better than ours did! It's eye doesn't look any where near as bad.

I have a female rescue from PSP who had, amongst other problems, malformed eyelids. She is basically missing half of the top lid. She wasn't more than hatchling size when I got her and she hasn't had any problems. I imagine your's will make a great pet for someone.
