My first two eggs but i think they arn't going to make it. I found them after I came back home from a friends house yesterday and one egg was soft and yellowish and the other was white and not as soft. This morning both are looking yellow and they have dents. I put more water for the denting. The eggs came from a Co-dom snow het RAPTOR (proven breeder) and she didn't lay them in the lay box. Is this a bad sign?

Was it a first time female? A lot of times they lay an infertile clutch or two before they get going. It isn't your fault if these eggs don't make it, and there should be more, no worries :)

Well if she is a proven breeder i thought that meant she was bred once...

Oh, I missed that..

Well then, I would put her back in with the male and try to up her calcium intake to make sure the next clutch is fertile. Did she lay them where she poops?

Chances are, she knew they weren't fertile. They'll sometimes lay bad eggs outside the lay box, usually where they poop

Oh, okay. Well then I'll just incubate them just in case and I'll feed her loads of food with calcium. Thanks for the help Khrysty.

Yeah my girls are good about laying dud eggs outside box. First clutch this year all the eggs where all over cages HAHA! But this second clutch they have all laid in there egg boxes! She will most likely be very hungry next few weeks.
