My gecko has been in his hide for over 3 months now

My gecko has been in his cool hide since October. He came out only once. He hasn't eaten since October. He did the same thing last year but not for as long.When I take the cover off of his hide he looks ok. Am I doing something wrong or is this natural given the shorter days and cooler temperatures. Can I do something to bring him around?

After reading through some of your posts I notice you use a heat pad and heating bulb. Are you using a thermostat or lamp dimmer with the heat pad? The UTH can get well over 100 degrees without a thermostat or dimmer.

The heat pad temps are good. I only use the heat bulb several hours a day. Not at night.
