My gecko impressions

I rescued my gecko a little over a week ago and he's doing fine. Eating like a pig. I never had geckos before. I've had chameleons and years ago in the 60's I had horned toad lizards. I swear that my gecko is more like a mammal than a lizard. It's really strange. I hold him and rub his head and he actaully seems to respond like a hamster or guiena pig would. I'm not used to this type of reaction from a lizard. He likes to be held and shows no sign of agitation when I hold him.

Some have very sweet personalities and seem to enjoy human interaction. Others, not so much. I'm really glad to hear things have turned around and are going well for you, Jerry. Your new friend seems appreciative of your efforts. Keep up the good work :)

As a side note, I have a horned toad lizard and he is a bit of a PIA to keep in captivity. Average life span is 4-6 years, Floyd is 2, and I've had him since he was a sickly juvenile. There won't be another.
