My gecko keeps saying no to crickets! Need an alternative!

Ever I gave my leo his first dubia roach, he has been outright refusing to eating any crickets. He just wants to eat roaches!

While I do like dubias over crickets, his refusal means no variety in his diet which I find to be a bad thing.

I already gave up on superworms since they made my leo morbidly obese (don't worry he's losing weight now!) and I gave up on mealworms since they're not active enough to get his attention.

Any suggestions??

It's nice to have a variety, but they'll eat what they'll eat. If he'll eat superworms, it makes sense to give him a few for variety. You can also try silkworms which many of my geckos love.
