Well at least your getting some results! I am excited for you! I wish mine would walk =/

And Steve, these things can happen very quickly. Mine was fine the day before and then all of a sudden, she couldnt walk. It doesnt mean that something had to have fallen on her. I can assure you there is nothing in my cage that could have done damage to her.
You can follow more on her condition by reading through the thread by the link I posted earlier.

So, Jim, I really hope that everything works out. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Update for anyone that cares:
I added a calcium dish to there tank and have had to refill it a few times they seem to love it, and my leo is seeming to get better he is walking around and sprints from my hand when I nudge him so his legs must not be bothering him as much.

I'm glad to hear your gecko is doing better! Although it may be difficult to accurately access the underlying mechanism behind your animal's clinical signs, just the observation of your animal consuming several refills of calcium would be strong evidence that the animal was lacking adequate levels of calcium.

Have you been gut loading your feeder insects or coating the feeder insects using powdered calcium/vitamin supplements?

Okay first I want to say I am VERYYYY happy your leo is better.
but on the other note, you should of done research before buying the pet. Not saying you did NONE at all but if you did a good deal you would have seen that they need a calcium dish in there at all times.
But I dont mean to bash you. I am glad you found out sooner or latter =]

Your right though I didn't look to much into my leos when I got them kinda at a spur of the moment deal but I'm glad I noticed early and because of it I have done a whole lot of research and I'm sure my leos are living a more comfortable life now.

I was dusting the crickets and mealworms but from what I have learned since this has happened that dusting isn't enough.

I think that the important thing here, is that the leo is getting better and you resolved the problem. Yes, people should do research before they buy pets, but I am glad that you did research at all! You could have very well not done research and the situation could have ended badly, but in the end everything worked out. This kind of stuff doesnt just happen to the newbs. Some things just cannot be avoided no matter how much research you do. Look at my situation, possible thromboembolism (sp?). Who would have thunk? [[ I have a whole thread about it, linked in this thread somewhere if anyone is interested ]]
