this is the rack I built. it has 8 shelves each 1 holds 2 16qt tubs the rack is heated with zoo med heat cable.

i use egg crate as hides and disposable worm/water dish that coast $20 with shipping for 50 of them. i use paper towle as the substrate.

it coast less than $100 too build the rack and that is including the heat cable. it is made out if 4 2x4s and some 3/4 inch ply wood.

here is how i ran my heat cable. i just routed a grove for the heat cable on each shelf and snaked it from shelf to shelf. you could put more heat cable in each shelf but so far one has worked fine for me.

just wondering if you have a thermostat on the heat cable. I am currently using the heat cable also on my rack and find that I have to run it full blast to get appropriate heat to the bins!!

i have my heat cable pluged in to a lamp dimmer and i use a temp gun to check the temp.
