I mean, not LITERALLY, but they sure eat like it's the first meal they've had in YEARS.:main_laugh:
I like to feed them daily...because they DEVOUR their food almost as soon as it gets into their enclosures.
I give them 5-10 small-medium supers and by the time I have gone down the line for all 12, the first row is completely DONE with their worms.
And they're all looking at me like, "Is that IT?"
I sometimes feed them more if I have more to give them. I have just received 1,000 medium supers tonight. These medium supers are a NICE size, and they all ate at least 5 a piece tonight.
And don't get me started on the amount of roaches and mealies they can go through.
I HAD TO resort to giving them sub adult roaches last night. I didn't want to but I had completely run out of feeders, and they've CLEARED us of nymphs (and I have an active roach colony). I watched them and was ready with my feeder tweezers to assist if I needed to.
Out of 8 that got sub adult roaches, only one was unsuccessful in eating it, and he simply just gave up.
It was mess in their enclosures. There were roach legs laying on the ground, gut splatters on the sides of their enclosures.
They ate them and wanted MORE.
Don't get me wrong, I am ECSTATIC that they are all seemingly VERY healthy, but good GOD.
They're little piggies!:main_laugh:
Oh, these hatchlings were all hatched in June and July. I don't know current weights, and I am hoping to weigh them tomorrow.
Who else finds that their hatchlings are pigs when it comes to food???
