Hi
Wanted to see what your thoughts are. We have 2 leo's both girls (that we know of) they have always been kept separetely but lately they had been watching each other so we thought that we would try and put them together. Our one Leo (michelle) was ok the first day, eating etc. After two days she stopped eating and was constantly trying to get out of her habitat. We were worried she was upset so we moved her back to her original habitat, where she repeated the behavior. We were advised then to move her back with our other Leo but she again ate one day and then stopped for 3 ate for one day and now wouldnt eat yesterday and still is trying to get out of her habitat. She is lively and using the bathroom fine, she just seems upset and stressed and we are worried. She is very spoiled and handled alot (which seems to be the only time she calms down) We have had her from a tiny baby and she is very used to us holding her and her walking all over us. i would hate her to be unhappy and am concerned something is wrong with her. We have quite a few lizards and we dont have this problem with any of the others.
Would appreciate any advice, thoughts you may have
thanks:eek:

We keep all of our geckos separately because they just do better that way. We've tried keeping a group of females together and they only slept in the same hide if that was the only option. So from experience, I can't be convinced that Leopard geckos get lonely if they don't have a "friend". Some Leos will do fine together but some just won't tolerate a tank mate. I'm more inclined to believe that she probably got stressed out in the move and then the move back to her old tank. Give her a few days to settle back in and just keep an eye on her. Double check all of your tank temps too and make sure the batteries on your thermometers aren't going out.

I'd move her back to her old tank by herself, and just give her time to calm down. Don't worry if she goes off food for a short time, she'll be fine.

thanks for the replys. We have moved her back into hold original home and she seems happier. We had her out for quite a while today and she seems fine.I'll make sure and not have my geckos share again.
