Keep in mind the condition/Situation i got this Leo in... (can find out about that here - http://geckoforums.net/showthread.php?t=67925 )

Sorry the pictures are not that great. Just learning how to use that dern camera. Any who you see what I mean by how skinny his tail is?? I mean that cant be good right? But he really is easting good now, so maybe its just going to take a while to catch up? Also his coloring is very dull.. Is that normal as well? And he has just those two lone dots on the bottom of his back lol.. Does he get more as he grows? However Having just those two dots has drawn him the nickname Deuce from some of my friends. Regardless he is still a damn cutie in my eyes

So this is my first one. I hadnt planned on having one, but now that I got him (even under the circumstances I did) I plan on getting many more! Different kinds etc.. Any suggestions on what kind I should get next, by all means let me hear it

Also I am still unsure of the Sex of my Leo. As I am new and do not understand how to sex... So..... If I carefully flip him over and hold him and snap some pics, would you guys/gals be able to sex him/her for me?

Oh, that poor thingy! How great of you to go and pick it up, and not let it starve to death! But don't worry, in the wild they also don't find food all the time and have skinny tails. If you did a fecal exam and nothing was wrong, it's really just emaciated and will regain weight as time goes by. Just don't overfeed but give it time to get used to good, calcium-rich food. It has almost no color (might be the camera); maybe a bit more heat would bring the yellow back on its body? Do you have an under-the-tank heat mat, or an over-the-top heat lamp? It will be a nice Super Hypo Tangerine; almost no spots on the body!

Your gecko is definitely old enough to sex. Look under it, or look at it from the side: if it has two balls at the spot where the tail begins, it's a boy! From underneath, you should see darker V-shaped pores if it's a boy. A girl is just plain white underneath and not that "bulgy." Put it in a transparent deli cup and take a photo from underneath. When you post it, lots of people will help you ID your gecko :)

If it weren't so skinny, you could also tell from its body shape: males are more square and stocky, and females are rounder or a bit pear-shaped. I would guess yours is a girl just from the shape, but since she's missing the proper rounding yet :p let's rather have an underneath picture to be sure!

Good luck raising her! How could anyone leave such a sweet, dependable, helpless animal behind without food and water and care?

Thanks for the responce Chrissy. I have an under the tank heat mat. But have only had that under there for maybe a week now. He/She seems to mainly stick to the hide/side that dosent have the mat underneath though. Its not just the camera, it just really is that dull in color. So its suppose to have a yellow and or Tangerine body? Well thats cool. I didnt think it was suppose to be that dull

If you have a container with a clear bottom(like a small plastic critter cage) you could put him/her in there and take a pic from the bottom. It would probably be less stressful and definitely be easier for you.
