I am haveing some trouble here. It is a month or 2 into the breeding season and 1 of my females has only had 1 egg which didn't hatch. I think that they would have had more eggs by now because my gecko had that 1 egg that didnt hatch over a month ago and neither of my females don't look pregnant and I dont know what they problem is. Please help!!!!

Did you put the male in with the females for a certain amount of time and remove him or are they still together. If he's only been with them for a short amount of time, it's worthwhile keeping them together for longer. If it makes you feel any better, I have 6 females breeding with 3 males, have had 10 eggs laid, all of which were bad and now have 2 in the incubator with the other slow to lay. It's still pretty early in the breeding season and if your geckos are first-timers, they may not lay like clockwork, and may not have fertile eggs at first. Hang in there and be patient.

Ok thanks! :) whew I was getting worried there. I keep my male in with both females year around. My male is I think 5 years old and both females are 3. This is also there and my first season breeding.

Ok so it is in April now and I am a little worried about my geckos not mating. I hear a lot of tail swishing and vibrating at night but it doesn't look like he is putting in an effort to try and breed at all. Anyone have any advice???!!!!

Just keep him in there. Unless you're staying awake and staring at him all night, it's still possible that he's breeding when you're sleeping.

I wouldn't keep your male(s) in with your female(s) year round. Thats asking for trouble

It can be a problem, but I do it consistently with 3 cages and have no trouble (the males are usually in with the females 10 of 12 months; the fat tail male and females are together full-time). It does require watching the geckos carefully and making adjustments, which could include separation, if there is trouble.

So one of my females just died today so I just have one female now. My mLe is licking himself under the tail and I was wondering if that is a sign of mating. I also changed my heating bulbs a bit. I went from the day heat from being 80-85 degrees to it being 90-100 degrees. So I hope that will help a little bit. If anyone has anymore advice that would be helpful.
