All looking marvelous! Great to see an update! Little Stripe sure looks content haha.

Yeah, Little Stripe is super relaxed when it comes to being handled. I was worried with him being an enigma that he would be prone to stress but so far he shows no syndrome signs and doesn't mind being held at all. Fingers crossed he will stay like it.

My fave pic out of these is the one where Summer looks like she's winking.. CUTE! :sweetheart:

He he, yeah she looked really cute. I've been trying to catch her winking for a while as she does it from time to time. Not been able to get the camera fast enough though until now.

I really like the last one, your trying to block Hex and he just has this look like 'whatever' lol.

Hex is very much that way inclined. He thinks I have a nerve just existing. I am the provider of food and apart from that he thinks I should just do one. Bless him. Maybe one day he'll like me ... in the distant future LOL. :D

I don't think being an enigma makes them more prone to stress. It's just that stress makes the syndrome more likely to appear/worse. I hope nothing happens, but you should be prepared for it to. Still very beautiful though. They all are. :)

Thanks Maggot, I really hope nothing happens also, but I am prepared to face the fact that it might. Engimas have been about so little time that none have achieved full life expectancy yet, so it must be impossible to say if any enigma can go the full span of its life without showing the syndrome. Fingers crossed they can and he will continue to be okay, only time will tell though.

Yeah, that's what most people forget when they say they know of an enigma that doesn't show signs of the syndrome. I had talked to someone who worked with the morph a little while after it was first out, and he said he produced 200+ enigmas and had to cull every single one because they all eventually showed signs. How old is yours?

200+ culled that's heart breaking, and that's only a handful of the animals that have suffered and died with the syndrome. :(

Little Stripe is only six months old (I've been keeping geckos for a few years but never really ventured onto gecko forums or researched the morphs until recently so I bought him without the knowledge of the syndrome and the breeders didn't inform me their were problems with the morph - but that's my fault for inexperience and not researching enough. Lesson learned).

All I can do now is keep him as happy as possible, hope for the best outcome, and follow on going research.

That's a shame they didn't tell you. I guess they knew if they did, they'd be less likely to make a buck though. =/

It is pretty awful that the animals have to suffer because people value money over the health of the animals they breed.

Yep, it's true, I would not have bought him if I had known about it. Can't help but love him to bits now he's here, but I can't agree with knowingly producing potentially disabled animals just because the colour is nice.

Yeah, I know when my boyfriend was buying his leo I warned him away from all Enigmas because you just never know what will happen... even if they appear fine at the pet store.

That being said, I think your little guy is pretty special and hopefully he'll have a full life free of problems :D

My fingers and toes are crossed for him, he's such a lovely little guy, I do love him to bits.
