I still haven't decided one what to call her. I'm leaning towards Tiamat, the creator dragon goddess of Mesopotamian lore.

Here she is getting acquainted with her new home. These were all taken the first night I got her.

Who are you? I thought I was the only one he-Oh wait, it's just me. *preens*

I'll be sure to take some better quality pictures later. My dungeon has horrible lighting.

By the by, how long does it take for a new gecko to become acclimated to their new home? So far, Tiamat is far more laid back than Fafnir was, but she still makes a dash for her cave when I come near the tank and she doesn't appear to be eating much. Which is to be expected. I know a bit more about what to expect this time around but I'm just curious as to how long she'll be so coy with me. :)

I always give them at least a week in their homes to settle in before I start holding him/her then start slow so they dont stress to much. She is very pretty.

I've had her for about four days and haven't handled her much at all in that time. (I've had to move her in order to mist the moist hide.) And just now she seemed happy to go for a ride on my shoulder. :D I offered her my hand and she climbed onto it, at which point she continued up my arm. She seemed disappointed when I put her back in her tank and was trying to climb up my arm again. I think I just made a friend. :D

Tiamat is an awesome name :) She's very nice and looks like she's spoiled in that highly decorated home! :D

Haha! Thanks. I guess I'm one of those who likes the more naturalistic settings. It's even more highly decorated now that I have a Zoo Med Repti-Shelter wedged in next to the warm hide (on the far right). With my next pay check I plan on getting some more vines and a more natural-looking meal worm bowl. The one that's in there now is a plastic container with a square hole cut into the lid. It's a little high and she doesn't seem to like using it much.

sounds like she adjusted well to her new mommy and home. That is wonderful.

Nice Looking Leo

That is a Nice Looking Leo and a cute name.:main_thumbsup:

The set up is pretty good too.:main_thumbsup:

Now, in defense of Grown Men and Growing Boys, of course we get excited. We are watching a creature from nature, seeing a food item, stalking it's prey, stricking it's target, and getting some food.:main_thumbsup:

What Man would not enjoy the conquest.:D

Great looking setup and your gecko looks very happy!! They love exploring caves and dark damp areas of the enclosure.
