Hah so as some of you know, a friend of mine was giving away her gecko. She didn't know the sex so first she referred to it as a male, then a female. Had me all sorts of confused.
I knew she hadn't been very well cared for, so I agreed to take her in. Because I won't be home for another 3 weeks, my friend dropped her off at my house in the care of my parents. Here are some pictures of the new girl.
(that would be my brother's large head and the gecko's tiny one lol)
(nice big tail..she has what my sister calls "a go button" at the base of her tail lol)

As you can see, there've been some bad sheds in the past and some lost toes. She does look healthy overall. She's been housed on sand, but my family changed that out for me and now she's on slate tile.
She arrived at our house completely starving, so after downing about 15 mealies, she slept for a couple of hours.
Now that she's been fed, she doesn't mind being held. She's very curious and climbs all over everyone, looks around, doesn't struggle, and has yet to try and jump (thank God! I'd hate to have another jumper lol).
My friend says she's had her for 3 years, so I know the girl's at least 3.
Oh yeah, we decided to name her Akira
It means "intelligent" and seems to suit her. :main_yes:
My guess is that she's a normal? Yes?
