Here are some pics of my normal babys from Ron Tremper. The first one is my sons adult female. We did not get her from the Trempers.

Great looking Babies, although you need to toss that sand in that Females cage as she is looking a bit skinny.

I second the opinion about the sand, and was also wondering if you have heat under the tanks? AND I wanted to say welcome to GF:main_thumbsup:

Thats funny you guys say that. She is actually getting bigger. I did not have her in sand and there was a point where she was not eating and she got real skinny. I started to feed her superworms and now she is getting bigger. I know it is not good to house them in sand but it works for her and have not seen any problems. With the babys, I do plan on getting UTHs but I need to get a pay check first. If you guys know what I mean. Thanks for looking

I hope you understand that I'm not trying to be mean here I'm just a little concerned. If you know sand is bad and you understand that it could lead to the death of your gecko eventually, Why take a chance? Just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it wont. I see a lot of people on here (when told about sand) respond with "they've been on sand for years and there still fine".Every time I read that I can't help think of the Grizzly Man Diarys. that guy spent ten years living with grizzly bears and telling people "look how freindly they are", then one day him and his girlfreind got eaten. Like I said I'm not trying to be mean here, I just see that response alot and I can't help but think that half the people that are told to lose the sand never do.The people on this forum share their knowlage so that others don't have to learn the hard way. I hope this helps and is and is taken in to consideration by all that are still using sand.

Honestly if you didn't have the proper set up right away, then why did you wait to get the animals until you got paid? I just find that really irresponsible, also back to sand. Sand Debates have been going on since the dawn of time, and if you know Sand is harmful, then why risk it? Are these animals really that disposable to you?

Very Cute Leos. I'm a little concerned about the Adult female, her body seems ok but her tail is too skinny from in that picture..

Please, not another sand argument... I say if you keep them the way they are supposed to be kept, sand will not be an issue... If they are hydrated, heated, and supplemented correctly, they can ingest sand and pass it without issues... They have been doing it for as long as they have been on earth...

Besides that, some of the biggest and best breeders keep their leos on sand...

The whole sand issue is getting tired...

Nigel, be nice... LOL...

Softballstud, welcome to GF and thanks for showing us pics of your pretty leos... That female can stand to gain some tail weight but from your previous post it sounds like you are on top of the situation...

Hows that for nice??? LOL

I know Nigel, I was just being funny again... The female is not in the greatest shape... I agree 100% but he also said she was gaining weight... I just hope its not sand weight... LOL

Ok guys I see all of your points and you all make good ones. The issue with the baby geckos and waiting to get paid is this. My parents live near Ron Tremper. So instead of paying an extra 50-60 dollars for shipping, my parents picked them up and brought them over the new year break. Greg, thanks for the nice comments and to those who just enjoy seeing what other people have.

you are not on trial, so no need for an alibi :)

Best of luck with them! Ron seems to run his racks a bit warm I think from my findings, so keep them at 95-97 floor temps and they will feel at home for you and settle in nicely.
