I wouldn't be. I'm sure your Toon is just fine.

Not just saying this stuff to scare the crap out of people. We went thru 7 months of torture with this stuff. Almost wish I kept all the receipts for all the vets visits for everyone to get an exact amount it cost for everything so people can see money-wise how much it hurts the wallet.
This info isn't about scare tatics, it's about what we can do in order to prevent stuff like this happening. Like the OP having to decided wether or not to sterilize the old furnishings or get new stuff, safest place to aquire our animals to avoid bringing a virus like this into our homes (mine came from Petsmart), proper way to quarentine and for how long. People get that stuff down and you are generally good.
And Angie, from the sounds of it Toon sounds like she's doing good.![]()
As I said in a post on another thread, I think that in an ideal world pet shops wouldn't sell live animals (other than feeder insects) period.
I wonder if there is a process the pet stores have to go through when they find out they've been housing leos with crypto. It would seem like they'd have to have something in place or else none of their leos would survive.
Definitely sounds like a nightmare. I've been being very careful to not cross-contaminate between Toon and Hugzor, especially from Hugzor to Toon because he's technically in isolation still.

I have to imagine they lose a ton at many of them. I stop in petco a lot and always check out the leos. Most are generally very sickly looking and emaciated yet there are always different ones in there when I look. I don't think the babies last long there sadly. When I told them what had happened and that they could potentially have an issue themselves they didn't care. They didn't bother sterilizing anything or even take a look at the animals they have, so beyond what happened with ours I don't know what happened or how many they potentially lost.
They have a chest freezer in the infirmary for that. At least that's what we had at p...o.
a short freezer with the lid on top. its for "product loss"
