So, I rescued a 9 month old female leopard gecko. Some lady brought her into my work in a SANDWHICH BAG!! Poor girls front leg broke and rehealed and now she walks on her elbow and gimps around because it healed back crooked. One of her back legs only have 1 toe on it because of another aggressive leopard gecko. I named her Honey Bee! Bee for short! You'll see why because of her coloration! But I have to say, she is tough as nails I didnt realize how badly she walked, and I cut a hole in a tupperware container for her humid hide, but I cut it on the lid. The minute I saw her walk I was like crap...gotta get a different humid hide. Buuut, she wiggled and crawled to the top of it as if she was a normal leo ;P. Anyway, some pics! Mind telling me what morph she is?

She's beautiful! :main_thumbsup: I'd say a Broken Reverse Stripe, but she also has stripes at the sides. Are you sure the leg was broken? It looks a bit like MBD to me. Give her plenty of calcium, anyways :main_yes: She looks quite big and strong for what she's been through. Good job for taking good care of her!

I thought MBD as well. Can we get some different angle shots to better tell? If it is that, it can be stopped with drops from the vet and partially reversed, tho not completely curable. She'll have a better quality of life and be able to move around with more ease. Such a pretty little girl :)

beautiful girl and glad she has a better home. i would agree on possibly MDB instead of a break. and its hard to tell from the pics but could you show us an image of her belly? from the sides she sorta looks gravid as well.

Thanks everyone! Im so excited to have her!

I thought it was hard for leopard gecko's to get mbd? But I'll keep an eye on her, and make sure to give her d3 dusting's twice a week instead of one. If I notice her slowing down at all, I'll bring her to the vet asap. I'll get some more pics up of her arm as well.

I got her yesterday around 12:30 and didnt try to feed her until about 5-6, but she didnt eat. I figured she wouldnt from everything going on, but I'll try again today. The guy that had her said she was an eating machine. I've got some dubias and crickets for her when she's ready to eat, though :).

I'll post a pic of her belly as well. I didnt even think about that...yeah i'll have to post a pic because I dont really know how to tell if she's gravid or not.

The guy that was "fostering her" had her on sand....and was telling me to put her on sand because it would be easier on her arm. I understand his reasoning, but Bee tastes EVERYTHING. She's always licking the ground, so i hope she didnt intake too much sand ):.

Thanks :)

She hasnt eaten yet :/. And she isnt as active as she was yesterday, guess I'm just nervous lol she's been in her hide all day, tried hand feeding her some crickets since she isnt fast enough to really catch them, and she wont eat. If she doesnt eat tomorrow I think I'll try some small mealworms / wax worms.

I'll get some pics up of her belly and leg tomorrow, worked 1-10 today so Im beat!

yaaaaaay she ate 7 crickets this morning :)

I was looking at urban geckos site....and they have a gecko morph on there called a "typhoon." it has the broken line on its back, along with the faded lines and its yellow. Granite, the typhoon is lighter, more albino but is it possible that she may have the typhoon trait in her?

a typhoon is a Rainwater albino that expresses the patternless and eclipse gene. its the Rainwater version of a RAPTOR. your rescue isn't an albino, but there is no way to tell if she is het for anything without test breeding. the striped patterns can be present in albinos and non albinos as well. to be het typhoon, she would have to be het rainwater het eclipse and het patternless. most of the time that is referred to as a triple het.

:) Yeah Im hoping to fatten her up.

Oh okay, I was just asking because the picture of the typhoon has the same exact broken strip on its back, and the light lines on the side which was why I was asking :).
