I am not terribly fond of the species but found myself with two leopard geckos. Both were adoption/rescue. Here's a few pics and some info on them, enjoy!
Note: The second photo was taken in her enrichment area, not her every-day housing, so please no gaskets blown over sand
This is Liberace, AKA Libby or Mad Libs. Libby's owner decided she didn't want her any more because she wouldn't ride around on her shoulder while she did chores and was generally "skittish." Not only is she skittish, but in fact extremely ill tempered, compete with biting, barking fits whenever you handle her. I was hoping with sufficient handling she would make a good education animal. She isn't, but she has calmed down enough to be halfway decent pet. And, she actually does ride around on shoulders now, ironically.
Asha came from a really sad situation; someone abandoned her in an apartment when they moved out, living in absolute filth among hoardes of crickets. She had a six abcesses and an eye infection; you can see pictures but they are graphic. Our vet was worried she wouldn't make it and suspected she'd lose the eye, but she actually has made a full recovery.
Yep, that's them. Hope you enjoyed!
