My Rescues

So I rescued 8 little leos and have not taken any pics until today. I didnt have the heart to take pics when they first came to me as I was very concerned and worried about them dying (one of them did, I originally had 9)
They are starting to do well and I have begun separating them into their own tanks. All came to me missing tails to varying degrees, were very tiny, and were having shedding problems.

This poor girl lost some toes because of the shedding problems but is doing much better.

I am missing one pic I thought I took it but I will add that one later.
Thanks for looking, I have been working really hard on these guys and am happy to see them begin to do so much better.

Oh my goodness...what poor babies Sabrina! I'm so happy they have fallen in the RIGHT hands. Their original owner needs a spanking...there is NO excuse for that! Good luck with these sweeties, and be sure to keep us updated!

I made sure they had the proper heat, humidity, lots of water, food available at all times (I feed mealworms). An amazing gutload in my worms. And alot of TLC and hope. I found that if you leave them be and take care of their needs they will start to come around. But if they get to the point that they are not eating we give Marcias slurry to them. Two of them needed it, one passed on and the other survived.

poor babes!

... At least, they have round bellies and strong legs!! Great job getting them where they are now. :main_yes:

The first one is a beauty. Actually, some will grow a very pretty new tail. I've seen lots of pics of nice re-grown tails, with cool spots and colors, which I almost liked more than their original tails. And for breeding, it won't matter, anyway.

I'm sorry one didn't make it. Were they kept in an overcrowded tank? Glad they have a good, save home now :main_thumbsup:

Im actually not too sure how they were housed, they were brought to me by a friend who could not house them but knew we could and knew they would have a fighting chance with us. So we made room for them and here they are now getting stronger everyday!!

Aww, the poor little sweeties. I'm so glad they're in good, caring hands now. Nice work nursing them back to health. They all look like happy, healthy little explorers! :)

I was just going through some old threads and found this one and relised that the gecko in the first picture that Sabrina posted was one that I got from her and I thought I would post some pictures of him and give everyone a update.

I think you've done a fantastic job! It's so great to see that animals in bad situations are getting a chance because of people like you. :)
