Hi everyone! =)

Just thought I would show off my new wine cooler incubator my bf built for me =) Now I can sit it on my desk and watch babies hatch out! =)

It's heated with 11" FLEXWATT and a HELIX.

It also has blue moon lights so you can see the babies hatching!

It has three shelves plus a bottom layer to add water containers.

Hopefully everyone likes it! =) There are more detailed photos and instructions on our website here if you want to read more.

Looks very nice. Does it hold pretty stable temps?

Thank you everyone =)

Yup, I dialed it back to 90 degrees and it's been stable for I think four days now.

We used to have a large freezer we used as an incubator when we had a ton of eggs... it's the same basic idea only MUCh smaller =)

Thats cool! i Have been thinking about doing this for sometime now, but i would need a bigger wine cooler since i like to incubate in 16 oz. containers or shoebox container for my colonies...

I have a wine cooler that i need to make into a incubator really soon. and the closet shelf stuff is a awesome idea. Awesome incubator and i am glad it has stable temps. what temp is your room that its in? our room is like 70-80 degrees or more in the summer during the day. im going to see how it goes not in our room at first then bring it in here and see where it keeps it best.

I agree, a larger one would be nice and will be the next project. This one was designed more as a second incubator to incubate at different temps instead of just having one large one... but I think our next project will probably be a 45 bottle cooler =)

Thank you! In a 71 degree room the hottest temps I was able to get was 96 degrees, and it did stay stable at that temp for about a day until I dropped it to 90 where it has been since.

We did add a small computer fan to help with air flow and there is now a one degree or less difference between the top shelf and the very bottom.
