There are sometmes fish at the local chain petstore that people have dropped off because they don't want them anymore and you can adopt them for free. I picked up two of them; a red eye tetra and another tetra that I can not identify.
I know it is a tetra because it has an adipose fin. It is a long, clear-bodied fish with a bright red tail and pale red on the base of then anal fin (the fin located on the underside of the fish closest to the tail). It is a very active and quick fish. My guess is that it is a glass bloodfin tetra. But some sources show glass bloodfins with adipose fins and other sources show them without this fin. I'm curious to know what it really is. Any ideas?
