So i found the dog chasing this around..

looks kinda like a brown recluse..

they are fairly common in this area..

Not a recluse. Recluse have a uniform coloration, no banding on the legs or abdomen. They also lack spines on the legs. I would say that's a species of harmless garden spider.

Looks like a male... or young... Mangora placida, though I.D.ing spiders from a photo is often a best guess sort of scenario. The tufts on the legs and some of the proportions and shapes fit, as does the abdominal pattern.

Definitely not a recluse... and recluse are not common in Ohio. They're barely present in the state at all, only verified in a few counties in the extreme south western edge of the state and with low population densities.

Also, pedilaps are not chelicerae.
