The 70 gallon tank is finally completed! Well except for the stand that must now be completed to hold it (it's far to large to keep in my bedroom).
Rythm loves the tank! She kept me awake all last night roaming around.
The cool side is the side with all ledges and rocks, the warm side is the side with tree stump. I'm thinking I may need to feed crickets in another tank as this one is going to be a nightmare to feed them in.
I also picked up a blue bulb so that I can have a little night time viewing.

Dang! That's better than a lot of peoples' homes these days! You could make a business out of selling those structures online and at the reptile shows. Very cool.

Thanks! I was actually thinking about it, but for online, I know nothing about creating or managing websites or anything of that sort. And I wanted to sell them at our reptile expo in September, but it's 30$ a table and I don't know if people here (I live in Halifax N.S) would buy them. Lastly, I only really have time to do these things on breaks from university. I'm a Biology major so during the school year all I do are labs and assignments.
Having an art background certainly helps when it comes to designing/making/painting things.

If people were seriously interested in buying custom made hides and such I would seriously look into it.

i hate to be a buzzkill, the tank looks FANTASTIC! :main_thumbsup:dont get me wrong, but the tupperwear hide?!?! you can do better than that lol;):p

You're completely right!! But I had a smaller version of it in my other tank, and she loves sleeping in it, so I figured she may appreciate more space, but same atmosphere. I also plan on using it as a lay box whenever I do get a male, and I like the idea of being able to see when the eggs get laid.

I thought of maybe adding some expanding foam on it, but I don't know what I would want it to look like.

I think the tank looks great! As for the Home-made ornaments, I personally don't have the patience to make them myself. If they were reasonably priced I would buy them at a store, or expo.

Thanks! I've actually decided against the background, I know it kind of "finishes the look" but I really like the openness of the tank without the background. Also I don't know where I would find something to match that where I have the half rocky side and half jungly side.

What would be considered a reasonable price? I sell my artwork as well and I never know how to price things. I mean obviously take care of material costs but I seem to largely under price my labour a lot (which honestly I would rather have someone get something they love for a price they can pay).

But realistically, if I were to sell these online or something, what could be some prices? What's reasonable? I 100% agree that pet store stuff is wwwaaayyy over priced, but I also get that not everyone can make these themselves (at least not as detailed and artsy lol).
