I just got a 40 gallon breeder from *****'s $1 per 1 gallon sale. I want to set it up a loot more natural. Anyone have and pictures? I saw one somewhere a while back, but unfortunately I didn't save the picture, and I can't find it.

Does anyone have any pictures of a nice ball python set up? My male needs something nicer than just the basic setup.

I have a really horrid pic of my son's ball python's tank. It's a 90 gallon slate bottom that is about 4 feet long and 2.5-ish high & wide.

On the left is a HUGE potting vase that is suppose to be mounted on a fence or wall for his water/soaking pot. We have a couple big rocks in the bottom so he can anchor himself in there if he wants (and he has. That is his cold side. Gravel to help with humidity/moisture, and a slate rock standing upwards to provide an alternative hide. The overhead light on that side is a basking spot 100 watt. The middle is a day light UV bulb, 150 watt, where we transition to 3 inches of bark chips in his hot hide area on the right which is 4- 8 inch ceramic bricks holding up a porceline piece of slate floor tile. Over top of that is a run of bark that provides verious other hides to his climbing branch . There is sphagnum moss all behind the large piece of driftwood, the upright slate and around the water pot. Over top of his slate hide there is a 150 ceramic heat emitter, under tank heat mat 11x12 inch (I believe) on the hot side, and probe thermometer at ground level on the hot side. The back ground covers all 3 sides so only the front is open. It makes Loki feel safer imo. He didn't come out as much when only the back had a back ground on it.

So that's our set up. Hope it helps :) sorry about my reflection in the pic :(

Not at the moment. I am going to have my cage builder make me some big tanks for them and then I will have a go at fully functioning naturalistic vivariums with live plants and microfauna.
