I went downstairs to my chameleon cage and found a approx 1 inch baby gecko running behind my chameleon enclosure!! I'm thinking I may want to keep him, what's a good setup for hatchlings and I guess my only food option is fruit flies which I hope PETCO has in stock... looks like a leopard gecko..

I'm not much help but its more definitely not a Leo, Ive seen this on here before BRB.

EDIT. Its a Mediterranean house gecko. Also, most likely not a babby. They are found in many areas of the US, he probably just wandered in.

Probably not. Unless you want an animals who's possibly carrying a hefty load of parasites, probably going to be a fussy eater, and going to be constantly stressed because of it's wild nature, I would release it. If you still are considering owning a house gecko, I'd recommend doing plenty of research on it's husbandry and buying a captive-bred or born one that will probably be a lot more pleasurable than a wild-caught.

Well that's disappointing.. now I have a sudden urge to own a gecko but if I could choose, it wouldn't be a house gecko... maybe a blue tokay gecko.
