Need help male leo can' eat and is getting very thin!!

I have had him for about 2 years and I just cane home from vacation when he didn't eat for like 4 days. Now his is very thin, and when he tries to eat he bites at it but misses and can't actually get it in his mouth. Please help me if you have any idea what I should do. I am very worried.

He is trying to eat his mealworms but cant actually get his mouth around them and bite them

Okay, I see a few issues. First, your warm side should be 90 degrees on the floor. what kind of thermometer are you using to measure your temps?

Second, does the calcium you leave in his dish have D3 in it? You can leave a dish of pure calcium in the tank, but you should also dust with calcium with D3 a few times a week. They can't absorb calcium without D3.

Neither of these problems strike me as causing fast weight loss, but I thought I would mention them. 42 grams isn't that bad. How much did he weigh before you left for vacation? The most common reason for fast weight loss is parasites. Commercial feeders can often carry them, so a gecko can get them at any time. I wouldn't worry about the fact that he misses. Mine miss all the time. The fact that he is showing interest in food is a good thing.

It's been nearly two weeks since I posted, so how is he? Is he eating again or getting worse?
