So I crossed a Hypo Mack Snow het Tremper with a TUG Phantom. I know that I cannot tell if its mack or tug but is it a snow? I have never seen a snow look like this, and none of my normals look like this. Im thinking possible cremesickle? Again I have never seen them as hatchlings. Please let me know what you think....

I'm going to guess that it's not a snow because it's too yellow, especially the feet. Maybe you have a normal with the ghost/pastel coloring. The snows are typically born white and black with no yellow. The yellowing develops in the first couple of months. At the moment I have 6 snow hatchlings and 1 super snow hatchling. The three oldest are starting to yellow (they were born between 4/2 and 4/15) and the smaller ones (born on or after 5/20) are still black and white.

Since the tug snow is a dominate trait it has to be a snow, but i don't think the mack allele got passed on. the yellow is probably coming through from the tangerine genetics that the phantoms are descended from.

Ive got 2 mack hatchlings here, obvious black and white. This little one is stumping me, lol. The pastel color is what is making me lean towards snow (with tang influence) and then the yellow is making me lean towards normal. Maybe as it gets bigger I will be able to tell better?

My Mack snows with tang influence are born with no yellowing at all and it develops within the first few months. I just took a picture of my 7 tang snow x trempers (6 came out snow) which I will be posting in a separate thread as soon as the pictures get into the computer. You will see from there that only the older ones have any yellow or orange. I don't know anything about TUG snows. I think it would be worthwhile contacting Craig at TUG to ask him how his TUG snow hatchlings look (unless he has some pictures on his website).

You will actually be able to tell **less** whether or not your gecko is a snow as it gets bigger, since that's when it colors up. No one would ever guess that the mother of my tang snows is a Mack snow --she looks exactly like a SHT except for her hatchling pictures.

That helps and I will be watching for your pics! These are my first hatchling out of my crosses for Creamsickles and Snowglows. I have not been able to find any hatchling pics of creamsickles....so I cant wait to see yours.

Thanks

The picture is up. I have not yet had any luck with creamsicles. Last season I bred my SHTCT to my Mack super snow and was disappointed that most of them just turned yellow. The mother of the babies in the picture, a holdback from that pairing, looks just like a SHT. The best "creamsicle" looking babies I got were actually from my super snow x Mack snow fasciolatus cross, and I've repeated that cross. They have just started hatching. Technically I guess those weren't creamsicles. Next season, I will probably breed the Mack SHT to my PRS and see if I get anything that way.
