NEED HELP WITH A CURLY TAIL!!!!

I just caught a curly tail in my garage and I would let it go but im gonna try to get my mom to let me keep it...Does anyone know anything about them...its body is only about 2 1/2"...heres a pic...

Let it go and go buy one from a store if you really want one. Its not nice or healthy to capture and keep animals from the wild and it messes with the environment and food chain for other animals in your area.
