Need suggestions for incubation material

I was wondering what kinda material i can use to incubate my gecko eggs in, now i know alot of people use vermiculite but i have read all those health warning things and yes i know it was awhile back when the vermiculite was bad and it has got better sense then but better safe than sorry. SO what else is good to use and not hard to come by and not gonna break the bank. Any help will be great also please provide the mixture/water ratio or weight thanks.

i was thinking about using the coconut fiber stuff would that be ok to use?

I don't think the coconut fiber holds moisture for long enough, but not sure. I use perlite. When I was putting the eggs directly on the perlite I used ALbey's method (http://www.albeysreptiles.com/incubate-eggs.htm). Now I use the SIM where the eggs are suspended above the perlite so I just put a whole lot of water in.

Perlite will do great for you.

Coco fiber is great for a laybox, not an actual incubation medium.
