Well if your familiar with the care of cresteds, its exactly the same except gargoyle don't stick to the sides of their tanks as well as cresteds so they should have more branches to climb on. I feed mine CGD as does Allen Repahsy and its totally fine no need to get the GGD(its discontinued anyways)
and thats about it man. If it weren't for gargoyles cost I'd probably have alot more of them they're so much calmer than cresteds and are a little bigger hope this helps.

I find that gargoyles are more apt to basking during the day [i provide mine with UVB], and do better with a temperature gradient. Females can sometimes be aggressive towards one another, and plenty of hide spots should be provided for breeding groups. Bigger animals also demand a bigger breeding minimum. I prefer a minimum of 2 years before I breed my auriculatus. they also dont have visible calcium reserves like cresteds, so you have to monitor their calcium a bit differently. Keep a close eye on tails and egg calcification. Gargoyles are especially susceptible to weight loss due to dehydration, make sure fresh clean water is available at all times. Hatchlings are notorious tail biters and should always be housed separately. Neonates show little to no interest in crickets or live feeders for the first few months, and I offer pinky mice to my adult females as an occasional treat.

You can purchase GGD at Pangeareptile.com. Is it just dicontinued in the small bottle form?

O yeah thats another thing like Tamara brought up they do apt to bask during the day, I house mine right next to my cornsnake and have a heating lamp(but its getting ready to be put in my rack) and I always find my garg huddled up in the top corner closest to the lamp to bask. and as for breeding its best they be kept in pairs as they are pretty territorial and will most likely fight.

I kept mine in a 1.5 group and they did fine, but some people dont have the same luck. The cage was huge, it was really dense, and I try to hand feed my stuff alot.

no its discontinued period, thats probably the stuff they haven't sold since its been discontinued.

O. See that's kinda what I was asking. Whether all packages were discontinued or just the small bottles.

Do you know why it was discontinued?
