Tomorrow I will be picking up a leopard gecko from an owner who has been severely neglecting him

The current owner has sent me these pictures and I need some advice on what is wrong and the steps I should take to help him get back to normal

Welcome to GF.
The obvious problem is that he has old shed stuck to his head. Gently wet his head to soften the shed and pull it off. Feel free to use tweezers or to use your fingernails to scrape it off. It all needs to come off. If you see any bits of shed in the eyes get that out too. The eye in the top picture looks swollen, though it may not once you get the shed off. It's very likely that you'll need to take it to a reptile vet because it may have an infection if the eye is really swollen.

Looks like what my guy had when his eye was swollen basically shut. He may have an eye cap or whatever they shed from inside their eye in there or impacted sand. I would obviously take him to the vet, mine gave me oral antibiotic and an ointment. I would also do warm compresses to help loosen anything that could be stuck

I just picked up the gecko today, It looks very skinny and has shed stuck to his toes/head/eyelids. The first thing I did was spray down his tank and put a towel over it to retain humidity, aswell as provide a moss pit. The lack of a moss pit from the previous owner seems to be the case of the whole problem. I am in an area where I cannot get to a herp vet and I was wondering how can I get the shed off his closed eye caps without hurting it. I heard gently rubbing a qtip with coconut oil on it works good but i'd like to know what you guys have to say.
