Has anyone ever had a hatchling hatch out with neurological problems? I have seemed to hatch out a hatchling yesterday with these problems. the clutch mate seems fine but the other can't use its limbs properly. it can't walk and seems to trip over its own feet when it tries to. Her front legs always cross or get stuck together. Will she grow out of this and get better muscle control w/ more use?

Such a gorgeous baby too! We've had a couple that took a few days to learn how to walk. It scared the crap out of me that they had almost no use of their limbs but then they ended up walking normally. I hope yours has the same outcome!

Nice gecko! Mabey it could have been caused by incubation spikes. I have seen geckos grow out of this "deformitie". but if its a disease i dont know if hey can? Marcia is good with this kind of stuff. she should come give me some help ;)

Poor little thing! A little off topic -- why are the deformed/neurologically distraught geckos always PRETTY??? I've seen ugly normal geckos, and pretty deformed geckos, but it've never seen an ugly deformed geckos. Why is that?!!!

Might be the "Poor little guy factor", GKO....ugly isn't seen because of love.... Other than that, I have seen "klutzy" geckos get their ability to walk, same as some people. Is it eating on it's own? Keeping up with the others? I wish you the best on this one, as she is very, insanely cute.

Unfortunately the hatching would have been too weak to survive on her own. She could not walk and did not eat on her own nor did she shed properly. I did wait a few weeks to see if her condition would improve w some TLC but it did not. after much debate and deliberation I decided to humanly euthanize her.
