So I was out herping in the Mojave Desert and found.... Just kidding! Actually, a coworker was looking for a new home for his desert tortoise and I gladly volunteered to take her.

I've introduced her to her new family and home, and she seems to be adjusting well. I've built her a new home to keep her sheltered, and our back yard has a huge hibiscus bush while the front has lots of dandelions for her to munch on.

What a great new pet. Someone looks pretty excited about it! That's one lucky tortoise, her house is going to be nicer than my first apartment. LOL
