first i think they're about 3 months old and i have a male and female together in a pretty big tank. should i separate them? how long does it take them to be comfortable enough to eat because they havent eaten in the 2 days that i've had them.

Yes, they need to be separated.

It might take them a little while to eat. They need to settle in first. Two days really isn't much.

Good luck with them!

If they're in a big tank you can divide the tank in 2 with a piece of plexiglass. If you cant get to it for a few days, at 3 months they will probably be OK. I have a male and female young juvi AFT together because I'm going to be selling the female in 2 weeks and they're fine.

brother and sister?

If you're asking about my juvi fat tails, no, they are not related. I produced the female and she will be for sale at the next show. I bought the male, who's about the same age and size, from Garrick at crestedgecko.com and put them together after the male's quarantine because the female was in a rack and I prefer to have my geckos visible. The male is the foundation of my amel group for next season.

If you were asking about the leopard geckos in the thread that started this post, then you don't really need to know all this. Maybe the original poster will respond.
