New Cage Preperation

Hello All,
I may be bringing home my first gecko from the Pomona show tomorrow and I wanted to start to set up my tank. I'm wondering, does the tank and everything placed in it need to be sterilized prior to placing him/her into his/her new home?

I would sterilize everything just to be safe
