I was at Taronga Zoo a week or so ago and I discovered the New Caledonian Giant Gecko (Rhacodactylus leachianus) and my god...THEY ARE HUGE! To the point that it actually scared me. Like, I don't mind larger lizzards but seeing a large gecko! It seemed so far from my association with geckos that I was fearful

I must say though, these get up to 14+ inches so it is hard to appreciate their actual size in this picutre. OH also, what freaked me out is that they are so huge but can still suck onto the glass! AMAZING!
