Hello everyone,

I know there is a photography section below, but I just really want to know what cameras all you leopard gecko breeders use. I'm looking to upgrade and I only want the camera for close up pics of my leos. I really want everyone to see the true beauty of my breeder and available geckos. Any suggestions?

I can recommend a cheap P & S -the Fuji FinePix 700

It is right around $200 retail and you can find it at Wal-Mart and buy a 2 yr extended service plan there for around $17 which covers just about everything including the replacement of the camera

It has a lot of settings to get used to-but it's a nice camera for the price

Here's a few pics taken with it-hope this helps

We have a sony sureshot 8.2 megapixel that retailed for around 250-300 last holiday season when we got it.. Similar to LadyGecko's, we can get the scales if desired. Our avatar was my first is the actually the first photo I took.

Now, if you want to get professional at all cost? I'd say a Konica 8mm with a selection of lenses.. you're looking to be around 800-1000, but you're talking about a professional camera.
