Both hides finally done :) The flooring we used is Excavator. You mix with water and mold it then it hardens. The fake plant on the right side is held up with magnets.
The water fall has a little pump in the bottom underside of the water dish. There is a tube that connects to the pump and we drilled a hole so the small tube would come out of the top of the hide down to the water dish.

Oh and in the cool hide there is vermiculite and in the moist part the is moss. Hot hide has a heating pad under. We are adding a branch coming out of the Left side of the glass, it will be held up by magnets. Just have to get more magnets and it will be up:)

Thank!! The spray phone was about $3, the grout was $8 and the sealer was the most expensive $7. But it was a decent sized can. I did the last tank with styro, i deff like the spray foam better though! Way easier to make, cheaper, you can get cool textures unlike the styro you have to cut to get that kind of texture.
I didn't use paint, just colored grout and the sealer made the color darker. But just plain white grout and colored grout runs around the same.
Good luck with everything!!

howd did ya shape it?? im asumeing you just sprayed it into a arch like structure? However its doen ill figure it out. Lets see I can get most if not all that stuff from wallmart, if they dont have colored grout ill use laytex paint.

well I used card board to get the general shape like if I wanted a slope or wanted straight edge I would spray it into a corner of a card board box let it dry then peel off card board. the rest of the shaping was done with hands and sand paper.
let me know what you decide maybe post some pics of what you are doing.

Very nice setup. Can you tell me more about the flooring? The name "Excavator" doesn't give me much to try and google.
