new fat tail not eating

Hello, although I registered here a couple of weeks ago I never got around to posting. I've had fat tails for about three months now. I have two that are doing great. but the third I just picked up about a week and a half ago. he was the biggest at the store but still pretty young, Well he was eating great for a few days and hasn't eaten in about 4 days now. his tail looks really thin now. He is still kinda active. I've had him in with the other two cause he's not THAT much smaller and just picked up an extra tank tonight so that I can separate them. Is there anything else I can do for him? Is there anything I can do to help him eat? I'm really getting worried

What are you feeding them? They can be much pickier than leos. Mine won't even look at a worm as prey. Only crickets.

Try different feeders, maybe it's just the food.

thanks I'll try. mealworms seem to be hard to find around here right now. He's been getting crickets and he ate the first few days. I'll see what else I can try. thanks

He may still be adjusting even though he ate the first day. He may possibly have parasites if you got him from a pet store and it would be a good idea to take in a fecal sample, especially if he's getting noticeably thinner. It is always a good idea to quarantine a new animal from any others in case either group is ill, so it's good you're separating him, but if he does have parasites, you may have to treat them all since they were in together. You may also find that he starts eating when he's separated from the others and he may have been overwhelmed by them.

I will hope for the latter. if he doesn't eat then he's not likely to poop for me to take a sample in. Is there a product that can be bought for parasites? as the nearest reptile vet is over an hour away.

you can buy panacur and treat him if that fixes him.
