Welcome to the forum! I visited Maine a few summers ago, and stayed just outside an itty bitty town called Blue Hill for two weeks. It was GORGEOUS! You are so lucky that you get to live there! The only bad part about Blue Hill was that it was so tiny that the internet providers wouldn't run lines out to where the house was, so I didn't have internet the whole time! It was killer for an internet junkie like myself! Reptile shows are a BLAST! I went to one just this past weekend. So many cool reptiles, and many people will let you hold theirs if you ask! I got to hold several balls and a reticulated python, and also a baby sulcata tortoise (which is the third largest tortoise in the world, but it was small enough to fit in the palm of my hand still!). If you know they don't have any albino hets, or if you know what they are, you could get a really cool albino-based morph. If you don't know what hets they may have… You might stay away from albino-based morphs, especially if you want to breed. If they are het for one kind of albino and you breed them to a male that has a different kind of albino, it could get very messy with the genes, I've heard. But there are some GREAT ones that aren't albino based! I think bold stripes, reverse stripes, and jungles are independent of albino, so you could look into like a pretty lavender stripe or something of the sort. Emeralds/Emerines are also really cool as they have hints of green in them! There are so many morphs and breeders out there, you will have no trouble finding one that is pretty and also compatible, even if you don't know about any hets your geckos may have. Many people are very willing to answer questions. Good luck!

By the way, 68g @6mos is HUGE! If you are sure of her birth date, keep track of her weight. I believe a gecko is considered a giant if they hit 80g before they are 1 yr old.

Looks female to me. You can sometimes see on a female where the preanal pores would be, but they are not defined like they are on a male. Often times the pores on a male are somewhat darker and exude a waxy substance. Also doesn't look like there is the classic bulge at the base of the tail, further reinforcing that it's a female. Kozmo looks like a shtct for sure, but I personally do not know the markers of a baldy, so I can't confirm shtctb, but someone else will probably be able to. Love the set-up!

Also, you could probably make your own 3D background using styrofoam and either paint or unsanded grout. You can make pretty cool looking fake rocks that way!

Welcome! I'm also going to attend the Brockton reptile show. Super excited since I missed the Manchester, NH show.

Welcome to GF!
To find out what vendors will be at the Mass Reptile Expo in Brockton, go to massreptileexpo.com and look on the right hand side where it says "Spring 2013 Vendor list". That's obviously from the spring but many of the vendors are the same. I will be there vending either as "Gecko Time" or "Geckcessories" (probably Geckcessories). I have mostly females, but I do have 5 that seem to be male including a super snow and an eclipse. I also have fat tails, gargs and coleonyx. Please come see me at the show. I was at the Manchester show and it was so huge I think a lot of people had already made their purchases by the time they got to me. I only sold 3 geckos.

A few years ago, I had a leopard gecko hatchling that was 51 grams at 3 months. It was not a giant. So I guess 68 grams at 6 months is also possible, though not usual.
