Hey there, I just rescued this little guy from a not so great pet shop. His name is sid fishous or fish for short I'm totally new to these little guys so any pointer would be really helpful and super appreciated. I think he may be on the skinny side, but I dont know for sure how old he is or if he is a he or a she lol

Welcome! Nice looking gecko that may be too young to sex yet. If you haven't already done so, be sure to read several care sheets. The most important things are:
--correct ground temps (low 90's on the hot side floor)
--not too high air temps (constant temps above the mid to high 70's will dehydrate the gecko)
--think very carefully before you use a particulate substrate (play sand can cause impaction and is not true to the gecko's native habitat; coco fiber is more reasonable but has its issues as well
--supplement with calcium, vitamin D3 and minerals but don't over supplement
--don't worry if the gecko doesn't eat consistently

Ive been dusting crickets with calcium and d3 what minerals would be good, but he seems to be scared of anything that moves? So I've been kinda half killing the crickets and he seems to have more interested then. Ive definitely been reading up as much as possible but its always helpful to have direct questions answered. Thank you for your insights man
