So we picked up another leo today (I think I may have a problem :D ) Anyway we aren't sure about her age the pet shop owner said she was young but she is 9 inches long so idk if she can be very young. She weighs in at 37gs and the tip of her tail is regenerated and she is skinny but other than that shes in great health, she eats like a beast lol Definetly no appetite problems so I am excited to see how she grows.

Okay so on to the help part :) What morph do you guys think she is? Shes like a chocolate brown color, I tried to get decent picks but I think its impossible.

Any ideas? Also we are trying to figure out a name for her, any ideas? We usually stick to a mythology theme.

i say blizzard. i like the name medea :)

Medea: Sorceress; daughter of Aeëtes; helped Jason obtain Golden Fleece; when deserted by him for Creüsa, killed her children and Creüsa.
(even if it is kinda morbid)

The eyes makes me think blizzard. Its likely been kept at poor temps. Making it darker then it should be.

Thanks for the replies, so you think shes a blizzard kept a low temps, is there a way to lighten her up?

I like the name Madea, we are still looking but we will def keep that one in mind.

Any other ideas?

Once you fatten her up and get her into better shape then you will see her true colors.

She may be a dark blizzard or a midnight blizzard but no way to tell until she is in better shape. Definitely a blizzard one way or the other, I wouldnt say mack.

Good luck!

I think a nice name might be Hecate, one of the darkest goddesses of the Greco-Roman pantheon. She is a goddess of child-rearing, but remains on the fringes of the Greco-Roman pantheon. She is also associated with cross roads, the night, the moon and strangely... dogs. : )

My next suggestion is more history than Myth. Enheduanna (almost named a gecko this, then she turned out to be a he XD) might be nice. She was one of the first known authors of the early Sumerian world. She wrote poems dedicated to the Sumerian goddess Inanna, many of which still survive and are similar to Sufitic poems and William Blake's poems to God.

Inanna is also a good choice. She is the goddess responsible for wooing Gilgamesh away from his task. She is equivalent to the goddess Ishtar.

Finally, since our little gecko friends hail from India, perhaps a name from Hindu mythology? There is of course Lakshimi alternatively Parvati- one of the most popular. She is consort to Shiva, but is also a goddess of light, fortune, fertility and beauty.

If you're looking for a darker name from the Hindu mythos, Kali (alternatively Kalika) is the Hindu Goddess of death, her name literally meaning "The Time" "The Dark" and "Death." This might work because your deary is so dark in colour. In fact, is the favorite of my selections.

Whatever you choose, I wish you luck with your new deary!

Thank you for the name options, I really like all of them! I like Parvati and Kali a lot, I think I'm going to have to save those away from some future geckos! I was talking with my sis and she really likes the name Nike (goddess of victory) so I think we are going to go with that one. But thanks to everyone for putting so much thought into naming her!
