Hey guys, so I just picked up a gecko today, put a few mealworms in his feeding dish, and warmside temp is right around 90. She hasn't shown any interest in the mealies. Any thoughts?

Give her a little while to settle in. They usually don't eat right away. She's in a new environment, and she needs time to get used to it. She'll be hungry once she's more comfortable. Welcome to GeckoForums!

Yes-usually when you bring a new gecko, or any pet home, you should allow her a few days to get used to her new environment. My gecko didn't eat until 3 days after coming home-it's just the way things happen. Of course, you may need to train her to ear mealies like I had to do mine, because she didn't even know what they here at first haha. Good luck! Post a picture!

Well, what I did was I put some mealies in a dish (about 5 or so) just overnight so she could get used to their scent. I then started to dangle them in front of her with tongs, and eventually pinched their tails to make them squirm. Now, she eats them as soon as I put them in the tank. I just put some on a platter and take it out when she's done. Hope this helps.
